DCF Tuesday night Transformation is on summer break.... So here is your online Tuesday night Transformation... "How To Solve Problems part 2" The Lord is my strength and my shield..... Ps 28:7a Introduction Problems vs. Predicament Lesson 2 "I must identify the real problem" Sometimes a doctor can can cure you, other times they enable us to live more comfortably with your problem. But first they have to diagnose it. I must identify if this is a problem or a Predicament. A problem is something that I can do something about, then it is a problem. However if I cannot do anything about it, it is a Predicament. A Predicament we must learn to cope with, it's something that must be endured. When I treat a Predicament like a problem I become frustrated, angry and possibly depressed. When we get to this point we waste our time and energy and make BAD decisions. Then when all attempts fail we see ourselves as the victim. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God will deliver us from them all... Ps 34:19.... Often times God uses predicates to develop us and make us more like HIM. Therefore God is using both my Problems and Predicaments for HIS glory. DCF Tuesday night Transformation is on summer break.... So here is your online Tuesday night Transformation... "How To Solve Problems" And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. Numbers 21:4 KJV Introduction Problems are not the problem... However how we handle them will make all the difference. Lesson 1 To reach the promise land the israelites had to go around the land of Edom. This made their journey much longer and the people became very discourage on the way. There's a lesson here...the best way to escape a problem is to solve it. Between you and "your promised land" you will face issues that have to be resolved. Recognizing obstacles for what they are.....Temporary test of your resolve, ability, and faith in God won't do you much good if you don't know how to handle them. So let's discuss problem solving... 1st recognize that you will always have problems. " A great leader doesn't treat problems as special. He treats them as normal. If you're working, expect problems. If you're dealing with family, expect problems. If you're just minding your own business and trying to relax, expect problems. If everything goes according to plan, then be pleasantly surprise. If it doesn't, and you've planned accordingly, you want get so frustrated. A problem not anticipated is a problem. A problem anticipated is an opportunity. Paul said " now unto him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us be glory for ever. The problem you're facing today is just an opportunity for God to do for you or through you ....what you can't do by yourself.... and said to them: “Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place. II Chronicles 29:5 NKJV Over the last couple of weeks I have spending time just cleaning out my closet. The problem is, I just did this a few months ago. I asked the first lady to help decide on what things I should keep..... give away.... or just trash.... believe it or not she felt I should trash my "magicians starter kit I bought about 10 years ago" (just in case the whole pastor thing did not work... I wanted a plan "B"....LOL) As Christians we must take time on a regular basis and clean our house/closet.... Some bad habits that we have picked up.... Things and people that use to fit...just don't fit any longer.... Sometimes there are things we holding onto that we may need guidance on getting rid of.... a spiritual advisor... prayer partner.... accountability partner.... GOD... Don't be afraid to do some cleaning... you will only make room for HIM... Blessings Pastor CED Tuesday Transformation
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, ......... Romans 12:2a NKJV Lasting change doesn't come through human effort, frustration, self-hatred, guilt, or beating yourself up over your failures. It comes from having your mind renewed daily by the Word of God. One day at a time through his Word you gradually will change. You start to think differently, talk differently, and act differently. It is not about perfection it's about progress. Am I growing, am I progressing. Celebrate your progress!!!! Lord I know I am not what I ought to be, but I thank You that I'm not what I used to be. Do you remember dinner without cell phones your family enjoying each other's company uninterrupted by technology? We are a generation that is losing the art of communication and intimacy and it is also impacting the time we spend along with God. Although Jesus was in constant high demand Mark chapter 1 verse 35 tells us The Jesus got up early in the morning and departed into a solitary place and there he prayed. How can you find peace and comfort? It is an inside job that can only be acheived by spending time alone with God. Spend Time alone with... try calling home, HE wants to hear from you.
